Registry office wedding

If you get married at Wernberg Castle, you will find a very special registry office: our impressive historic Timber-Framed Room, decorated entirely to your wishes. Dates must be agreed with the registrar Mr Helmuth Lorenz (telephone +49-9604-9211-44) and are also possible on Saturdays.

Church wedding

Father Ertl (telephone +49-9604-2269) is our Catholic priest for church weddings arranged by appointment. You may of course also have a Protestant wedding. You can contact the Protestant parish office with the contact persons Father Merz and Pastor Mantel by calling +49-9604-2620.
The church wedding takes place in the formal setting of the romantic castle chapel. We can arrange floral decoration and musical accompaniment entirely in line with your wishes.

Free-spirited wedding

Wernberg Castle is the ideal venue for free-spirited weddings in particular. The Fireplace Room with its magnificent ambience provides the perfect setting for this. An absolute highlight is your wedding in the romantic castle moat. The altar is surrounded by ancient fruit trees and the venerable old castle walls form the impressive backdrop.

Lunch

Depending on the weather, we serve lunch to guests either in the castle moat or the winter garden. You can personally coordinate the choice of snacks and drinks with our chef de cuisine Thomas Kellermann.

Relax at the castle

As eventful as a wedding day is, it is also important to have small gaps to relax in between the official "duties". Wernberg Castle boasts a wide range of leisure facilities. For example, you can enjoy a massage in our massage refuge, a sensual sauna in our vaulted sauna, a walk around the castle, or a bath in the Jacuzzi in your suite, where you can relax and recharge your batteries before the evening’s events.

Coffee

When the sun shines, the wedding party can enjoy a coffee in a very romantic setting in the castle moat or in the castle’s inner courtyard; when the weather is less good, you can congregate in the winter garden. We offer a wide programme of entertainment for your guests.

Dinner

We serve your celebratory wedding dinner in the Fireplace Room or in the Prince Room. The chef and sommelier serve up the carefully chosen menu and the perfect drinks to accompany it following a personal consultation with you. We arrange and organise the musical and artistic entertainment to accompany the celebration entirely in line with your wishes.

Wedding night

You can spend the wedding night in our Wedding Suite which has been specially designed with this occasion in mind. It will be kitted out with flowers and a basket of fruit in a fairytale ambience. Another 29 stylishly furnished rooms are available for the rest of the wedding party to use.
